Ionad Pobail Lios Poil – Win 24K for 2024 Raffle
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The Promoter:
The Promoter, under licence granted by Dingle District Court on 29th July 2023, is Ionad Pobail Lios Poil CTR, its registered address at Goulin, Lios Póil, Tralee, Co. Kerry, V92 NY94.
The charitable purpose of this raffle is to raise funds for the development of Ionad Pobail Lios Póil (Lios Póil Community Centre). The organisers of the draw shall not derive any personal profit from the draw.
The Prize:
The prize provided is €24,000.
The Promoter reserves the right to add additional prizes and bonus prizes to the raffle during the period of sales and promotion up to and including the final draw date. This may include ‘early bird’ draws for various prizes. The addition of any such prizes will be notified to the entrants as soon as practicable on our website and social media. These prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
Entry Requirements & Eligibility:
The Raffle Draw is open to anyone aged 18 or over who has purchased an Ionad Pobail Lios Póil ticket between 9am on 4th August 2023 and midnight on 1st of January 2024. The exceptions are those who at any time during the period commencing 4th August 2023 and Midnight on 1st January 2024 or the date on which the winner is selected, are fundraising executive committee members, trustees or employees of the Promoter. Family members of said executive officers may participants in the raffle.
By taking part in this Raffle Draw, the participant is deemed to have read and understood the terms and conditions of this promotion and agrees to be bound by them. In the event of a club or syndicate winning the person buying the ticket for the syndicate will represent the interest of the syndicate.
Tickets purchased by an adult using the name of a person under 18 years of age will be deemed the ownership of the adult who purchases the tickets. An adult may buy a ticket or tickets in trust as a gift for someone under 18 years of age.
There is no limit to the number of tickets a person can purchase.
How to Enter the Raffle Draw:
Entry to the Raffle Draw is by means of a raffle ticket, specially commissioned by the Promoter either offline or online.
On purchase of an online ticket for the Raffle Draw through the Ionad Pobail Lios Póil site, www. ionadliospoil.com, participants will receive an email with their raffle number.
At the point of purchase of the offline raffle ticket, purchasers will be asked to provide their first name, last name, email address, and contact number, which will be input online.
All purchasers of tickets are automatically entered. Tickets must be retained as proof of purchase.
Failure to provide any of the foregoing information or accurate contact details at the point of purchase may result in inability on the part of the Promoter to contact the winner. The Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability to the winner for any failure on the part of the winner to provide full and accurate contact information.
Once purchased, no refunds will be issued except in the event of cancellation of the competition. In that event, a maximum amount of 80% of contribution will be refunded to the raffle ticket holder.
Raffle Draw tickets are priced at €20.00 for a single ticket, 3 tickets for €50.00 and 9 tickets for €100.
A maximum of 15,000 tickets will be made available.
Winner Selection:
The winning ticket will be drawn by an independent judge appointed by the Promoter for that purpose on 6th January 2024, at a time & location to be confirmed. All participants shall be entitled to witness the draw live or via a live stream. Details will be announced publicly via website and social media closer to the time.
A second draw will take place if the first winner is unable to meet the T&Cs or is unable to be contacted. The decision of the Promoter as to the winner and validity of the entry is final and no correspondence with third parties will be entered into.
How to Claim:
The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to contact the winner within 5 days of the Raffle Draw using the contact details supplied upon purchase of the raffle ticket. The name of the winner will be posted on the website and social media platforms of Ionad Pobail Lios Póil.
The Promoter will not enter into correspondence with third parties and will not use alternative contact details to those supplied upon purchase of the raffle ticket.
If a winner does not respond within 5 weeks of their details being posted on the social media platforms of the Promoter, such winner waives the right to claim the Prize and the Prize will be awarded to the winner chosen in a second draw.
Publicity:
Entrants agree and give consent that, if they win, the Promoter will have the right, without additional payment or permission, to use their name, age, town of residence and likeness for the purposes of announcing the winner of the Raffle Draw and for related promotional purposes.
Data Protection Policy:
The promoter will only process data in a manner consistent with the purposes for which it was gathered. The promoter will not contact entrants except in the event that they have won a prize in the raffle. Entrants information will be retained by the promoter for a period of 2 months after the raffle draw has taken place. Data will be stored securely, so that confidential information is protected in compliance with relevant legislation. Personal data of any kind will not be disclosed to a Third Party without the entrants consent.
Restrictions:
Individuals who attempt to circumvent the system running the Raffle Draw in anyway or use multiple fraudulent attempts to play will not be eligible to participate in the Raffle Draw. If there are reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions by an entrant, the Promoter may, in its sole discretion, invalidate the relevant entry and disqualify the entrant from the Raffle Draw. Prizes must be accepted as offered and stated above. The prizes are not transferable to another person. In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Promoter is final.
Errors and Omissions:
The Promoter, it’s servants, agents, licensees, trustees, directors, committee members or the organisers of the Competition accepts no responsibility whatsoever whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission, interception or communications failure, for unreceived, late, missing, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted or misdirected claims, entries, applications, memberships or otherwise.
Promoter’s Right to Modify or Cancel:
The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify, cancel, terminate or temporarily suspend this competition at any time without notification, and with no liability to any entrant or any third party.
Adjudication:
The Promoter will maintain books and records recording all entries into the competition and all costs relating to the competition. The books and records will be audited by the independent adjudicator within 14 days of the draw taking place. The identity of the adjudicator will be notified to all entrants on our website not less than 14 days in advance of the date of the competition draw.
Limitation of Liability:
The Promoter’s total liability in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence) or otherwise arising out of or in connection with, or in relation to these terms and conditions, OR arising out of or in connection with, or in relation to any non-contractual arrangement, shall be limited to the amount actually paid or payable by the entrant for the raffle ticket.
The limitation of the Promoter’s liability herein has effect in relation both to any liability expressly provided for under these terms and conditions and to any liability arising by reason of the invalidity or unenforceability of any term of these terms and conditions.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The terms and conditions herein are governed by Irish Law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
The Promoter is committed to operating the Raffle in a socially responsible way. The Promoter’s decision in all matters relating to the Raffle is final. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Raffle in whole or in part in the Promoter’s sole discretion.
